Indian Premier League is the world’s biggest cricket league that has recently completed its 12 years. The first match was held in 2008 just after the T20 world cup where India won the title against Pakistan.

IPL got started in 2008 but very knows about ICL Indian Cricket League. This ICL was founded before IPL. But due to some circumstances, ICL got banned and later it vanished from cricket. When ICL was in full swing before 2008 IPL was still under plan only. After one or two years ICL was clammed with many fraud cases and some fixing issues it gone banned for a lifetime.
Mr. Nirav Kumar Modi along with BCCI are the founders of IPL. The idea of IPL was purposed by Nirav Modi years before 2008. The idea didn’t get implemented by BCCI due to some at instant time. But later in 2008, it was adapted, and soon after the idea of IPL got adapted in Indian cricket. Mr. Modi got this idea from Europe’s football league and different basketball tournaments. The basic concept behind these leagues makes a team from the different-different country player. Book them with a certain amount of money and make a team with all of them.

Some facts about the founder of IPL idea Mr. Nirav Modi. When he first proposed the idea of IPL in the ’90s his idea got rejected. At that time, he proposed ICL, not the IPL. Due to the issue, it got declined by BCCI. Mr. Modi wanted ICL in increasing his business which he was planning to be named Modi Entertainment Networks. After his proposal got declined by BCCI, he decided to become the chairman of the various state cricket board.
He comes to chairman of the Himachal Cricket Association and Chandigarh cricket Association and later he became the board member of BCCI itself. He again proposed the idea of a cricket league named IPL this time and his idea got a chance. And after that BCCI was in heavy profit. He was a successful board member of BCCI for some years. After some years he was dismissed with the claim of various fraud cases happing BCCI. But IPL remains the same and every year IPL was held like a festival. Even in this COVID IPL is being held in Dubai with all safety precautions and no real crowd. This is the first time in the history of IPL that no audience is watching physically.
